This week, Mrs. Towner's 2nd graders dove into the story Balloons Over Broadway by Melissa Sweet and learned all about the magic of the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade!
Their journey included:
- Exploring the history, creativity, and science behind the parade's famous balloons and floats.
- Creating rough draft drawings and writing samples before crafting "mylar" balloons using aluminum foil, Sharpies, and lamination.
