Superintendent's Update for February 17th

Dear School of the Osage Students, Families, and Community-    Tomorrow will be another day of out of school buildings for our students. As you know, this run of winter weather has given us the opportunity to put our full system for distance learning into use beyond Mondays. Teachers are posting new assignments by 9:00 am in Canvas and communicating via Zoom and Remind- tools with which most everyone has had extensive experience by this point.

Superintendent's Update for December 16th

Dear School of the Osage Students, Families, and Community-    In August, it seemed doubtful that we would make it through the semester without some type of building closure. Because of your support, patience, and extra-effort, we’ve made it the entire semester with all buildings AND classrooms open. This year has certainly been one for the record books. Like some of you, I am not going to be sad to see it take a bow and leave the stage.

Superintendent's Update for December 2nd

Dear School of the Osage Students, Families, and Community-    I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving Holiday! It’s been a truly unique (if not crazy) year. But as our Osage Team made it back safely after a few days away, we agree that there is so much for which to be grateful. Superintendent's Update for October 7, 2020

Dear School of the Osage Students, Families, and Community-    We are nearing the completion of the first academic quarter of our school year! To ensure a strong finish we have implemented a plan for make-up Monday, which is coming up on October 12. All across the district, teachers will have the same message posted in Canvas accounts on Friday reminding students that they are available to provide individualized guidance and feedback via Zoom and Remind on 10/12/20. (Students who are fully caught up get to enjoy a well-deserved day off from distance learning protocols.)

Superintendent's Update for September 23rd

Dear School of the Osage Students, Families, and Community-    Last week, this update included a link requesting input on what you think is going well and what we can do to improve. We received approximately 30 responses. While this might not be indicative of the feelings of the entire Osage family, we think it is enough to call it a decent “temperature check.” (I know, too soon- but I couldn’t resist.)

Superintendent's Update for September 9th

Dear School of the Osage Students, Families, and Community-    It’s with great relief that we have moved from the challenge of getting schools open to keeping them open. But as you probably know too, planning for extra sanitation, extra mask use, and social distancing in theory feels really different from practicing them vigilantly for a real cause.
