SCHOOL OF THE OSAGE ANNOUNCES NEW SUPERINTENDENT
LAKE OZARK, MO - The School of the Osage Board of Education is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Jason Price as the district's next Superintendent of Schools, effective July 1, 2025. Following a search process supported by the Missouri School Board Association (MSBA), the Board selected Dr. Price for his demonstrated leadership experience and deep commitment to educational excellence.
Dr. Price brings nearly two decades of distinguished service in education to the role, including his current position as Assistant Superintendent of Camdenton R-III School District and previous experience as Superintendent of Miller County R-III School District. Throughout his career, he has demonstrated expertise in personnel management, academic improvement, school finance, and community relations.
"The School of the Osage has a proud tradition of academic excellence and community support," said Darrick Steen, President of the School Board. "We are confident that Dr. Price's vision and leadership will build upon this strong foundation and guide our district into an even brighter future."
Dr. Price's educational background includes a Doctorate in Educational Leadership from William Woods University, where his dissertation focused on Character Education and its Impact on Student Achievement. He also holds an Educational Specialist degree in School Administration from William Woods University and a Master of Science in School Administration from the University of Central Missouri.
Currently serving as an Adjunct Professor at Central Methodist University, Dr. Price demonstrates his commitment to developing future educators by emphasizing academic excellence, ethical leadership, and social responsibility. His experience spans from classroom teaching to district leadership, including roles as a Secondary English Teacher, K-12 Principal, and Superintendent.

A resident of the lake area since 2011, Dr. Price has established deep roots in the community. In his current role at Camdenton R-III, he has focused on recruiting and retaining effective educational leaders, implementing district policies for operational efficiency, enhancing community communication, and overseeing student safety measures. His appointment reflects a dedication to maintaining the district's mission of "equipping all learners to meet their maximum potential for a lifetime of success."
