Members of the Missouri Retired Teachers Foundation visited OMS on Wednesday to award our very own Jodi Tompkins with a $500 grant! Mrs. Tompkins’ grant was entitled “Problem Solving, exploring, and Creating through STEM”. The goal of this grant is to “teach engineering and computer science to middle school students in order to expose and encourage students to learn more about possible STEM careers.” The project is expected to benefit approximately 175 seventh grade students at OMS.
