Mr. Christopher Zilz
20 years of Service
Social Studies Teacher
10th Grade, 11th Grade, 12th Grade, 9th Grade

I began my teaching career in 2000. I received my B.A. from Wabash College, M.Ed. from Indiana Wesleyan University, and M.A. from the University of Nebraska. Throughout my career I have taught a variety courses: World History, World Geography, U.S. History, Psychology, Current Events, Advanced Placement (AP) Human Geography, AP United States Government & Politics, AP World History, Dual-Credit Political Science, Dual-Credit United States History, and Dual-Credit World History. In addition to serving as an Adjunct Professor of History at OTC, I am also a current Adjunct Professor at Lincoln University, since 2015. I began teaching at School of the Osage in 2011 and was awarded Educator of Year for the High School during the 2018-2019 school year.
On a personal note, I was born and raised in Chicago and the Chicagoland area, along with my three brothers. I have been married to my wife, Melissa, since 2005 and we have two sons, Caleb and Luke. I am a huge baseball fan (Go Cubs!) and love to scuba dive. Our family also enjoys boating, swimming, and visits to zoos and aquariums.
