OHS Competitive Speech went to Fair Grove this weekend. We brought 12 students to compete in 11 events. Here are the results:
Humorous Interpretation - Ava Maupin 7th
Prose - Dex English 6th & Abrielle Newhart 4th
Storytelling - Karissa Whyte 4th & Audrey Williams 2nd
Radio Speaking - Abrielle Newhart 6th
Poetry - Taylor Lasater 4th
Improvisational Duet Acting - Caleb Klaus & Deacon Lipsmeyer 1st
The team placed 5th overall out of 19 schools. We travel to Warrensburg this Saturday.
On Saturday, Math Club traveled to Smith-Cotton High School for a math competition. We competed in the larger school division against Camdenton, Excelsior Springs, Lee Summit, Lee Summit North, Odessa, and Raytown. Asher Hatfield and Kaden Langelier made up our freshmen team.

Congratulations to Kamill Burch for being selected as LCTC's December Student of the Month! Kamil is a senior at School of the Osage High School and LCTC and she is also an active member of HOSA. Mrs. Brake who nominated her stated, "she is ambitious, determined, driven, caring and funny.
