Varsity Girls vs Linn, MO

For our first game in 19 days a much-improved Linn team came to Osage. We hoped to continue our hot shooting from the previous game, but after such a long layoff, you never know. Last season the Indians finished 22-7, advancing to the State Quarterfinals for the second year in a row.  It was a great season winning the Eugene and District tournaments and finishing second at the Osage and Conference tournaments.  We will miss seniors Rose Colonius, Maddie Henley, and Kenzi King a great deal.  This year, we are led by a strong senior class.  Kerrigan Gamm and Carson Wood led us in rebounding and scoring respectively last year.  Payton Good is a returning starter and Karli Kempf and Zoie Turner both add defense and scoring inside.  Sophomores Liberty Gamm and Sara Wolf saw significant time last year as well and will have an expanded role this year.  Several newcomers to the Varsity level include Grace Edwards, Loren Melton, Ella DeMott, Sydney Riley, and Paige Rowland who will add needed depth.  This season has a chance to be a good one for the Lady Indians.  The girls expect to compete at a high level and be in the mix for Conference and District Championships.
