Our final example of Senior Excellence is Emelia Miller.  After graduation on Thursday, Emelia will attend Southwest Baptist University in Bolivar, Missouri. While at SBU, Emelia will major in Instrumental Music and minor in French.

Emelia’s dream job is to be a professional flute player for the Orchestre Nationale de France.  When asked about why she picked this career Emelia replied with, “I am very passionate about music and the way it makes me feel, and I can't think of anything else I would rather do besides make music as my career.”  She will also pursue an education degree to be able to enter the teaching profession if her priorities change later in life.  After college, Emelia would really love to travel and live outside of Missouri.

While in high school, Emelia was active in band, choir, NHS (National Honor Society), French Club, and FTA (Future Teachers of America).  Her favorite Osage memory is going to band competitions like Ozarko every October and getting to spend time with other band students and march in shows.

Emelia, we will miss your smile and wit in our classes and hallways.  Good luck at Southwest Baptist.  Enjoy all life has to offer and take every opportunity presented to you!
