Sullivan Novice Scholars Bowl Tournament

January 24th, Scholar Bowl traveled to Sullivan for the Sullivan Novice Tournament. This competition allowed only underclassmen to compete which was a great opportunity for my freshman and sophmores to gain experience. Forensics at Fair Grove

Osage Girls Basketball vs St. Elizabeth

This was the opening round game of our home tourney and we were playing a state ranked, 13-1 St. Elizabeth team that had beaten us by 33 one month ago. The start of the game was key for us as we couldn't let them get too far ahead. I was very pleased with the way the girls moved the ball and themselves our first few possessions. Halle had three of her four assists in the first few possessions as she hit Reese for two three pointers and Lauren for a bucket inside. Osage Girls Basketball vs St. James

We knew going in that playing two state ranked teams on back to back nights was going to be very difficult, and it was. St. James is an extremely well-coached perennial power and we caught them on a very good defensive night. We may have been a bit tired from the game before and we had trouble controlling the defensive glass. St. James crashed very effectively and forced many turnovers en route to a commanding lead after one. After the first quarter, I felt that we played better and were able to compete with them.
